Designing Connection Between People and Technology

About

Hi, I’m Stéphane — a UX Lead, Usability Engineering Manager, and former Front-End Developer passionate about the space where technology meets human experience.

To me, design is not just about solving problems — it’s about creating moments of connection. Whether I’m designing for hearing aid users rediscovering sound or hearing care professionals managing precision and care, my goal is to make technology feel effortless, empathetic, and human.

Working in the hearing aid industry has taught me that true innovation begins with listening. The Widex Allure app, for example, was designed to help people with hearing loss reconnect with the world through clarity, confidence, and trust — a reflection of my belief that great design should empower, not overwhelm.

My path into this field has been anything but linear, and that breadth shapes my perspective. Before focusing on medical technology, I spent several years in digital agencies, creating web platforms and e-commerce experiences that helped brands communicate with authenticity. My foundation in front-end development continues to guide my work — grounding creative vision in craft, precision, and feasibility.

I’ve also explored the potential of emerging technologies through VR, developing interactive tools for neck rehabilitation that merge play, motion, and therapy. Projects like this have shaped my belief that design can heal — not only through function, but through emotion.

Today, my approach to design is holistic and data-informed. I combine research, analytics, and intuition to create experiences that feel meaningful and grounded in real life. I believe in asking not just what works, but why it matters — crafting solutions that build trust, connection, and simplicity in a complex world.
